This vintage piece was crafted sometime during the Mid Century design period (1940-1960). This bangle was originally an antique brooch, which is why it features antique Old European cut diamonds. The diamond bangle features 46 antique Old European cut diamonds and has a total estimated combined diamond weight of approximately 1.50 carats. Converting large antique diamond brooches into more fashionable and wearable bangle bracelets has been somewhat common practice since the Mid Century design period. During the Victorian and Edwardian eras brooches weren’t just decorative but also functional. Their use was less necessary after the invention of the zipper and modern textiles. This gorgeous diamond bangle bracelet features a 14K gold setting. The top is intricate filigree adorned with 46 diamonds in an Edwardian style garland motif. The bangle is hinged and features an easy to use push button clasp closure along with safety chain. The bangle measures average, approximately 7 inches.
